Aero ergonomic superstiff bunch races dropbar
Designed by Romolo Stanco, developed and patented by Bianca Advanced Innovation, engineered by CompMech UniPv and 3dProtolab. Ergonomy, handling and stffness are the keypoint of ASHAA handlebar, the bunch bar used by Olympics and world champions. Handmade in carbon 3K it's the perfect balance between aerodynamic positions and driveability in the bunch races and in the madison races.

HOURGLASS is a monocoque three-spoke wheel with a UDROP® rim profile that takes the section over 30mm, offering an open surface designed to keep the flow away from the spokes and fast rotating parts. In this way, a 21% reduction in aerodynamic resistance is obtained compared to a trispoke with a linear profile rim, obtaining a performance very similar to a front lenticular wheel but more drivable and less subject to side winds.

Through extensive CFD simulations and Wind tunnel tests utilizing digital twins, we've optimized the rim section design to drastically reduce air resistance. This, in turn, significantly reduces aerodynamic weight and contributes to a lowered CdA, making this high rim wheel remarkably easy to handle and lightweight.

AREA 51
Aero shape disc wheel tubular or clincher
Front wheel available in standard 9mm axle or 12x100 thru axle.
AREA51 is a newly developed lenticular with an asymmetrical NURBS profile and a double rounded shape on the longitudinal axis of the wheel. This "shape" improves aerodynamic efficiency by 18% compared to a linear profile lenticular and makes it easier to ride at high speed by minimizing surface turbulence. The visible TeXtreme® 12K carbon construction also enhances the use of composite materials of technical and aesthetic value forgotten by the industrial world.

For more than four years, TOOT RACING technicians have been experimenting with different solutions regarding drivetrain performance. Experimental data collected in the laboratory demonstrates that the efficiency of the drivetrain on the track bike can even approach 90%. This means that 10% of the pedal power does not reach the wheel due to mechanical deformation or friction. The designers' choice after many comparative tests rewarded large diameter chainrings to reduce friction and minimize the polygonal effect of the chain. The Ergal used is of the aerospace category and the hard oxidation treatment represents the best ally for traction efficiency.

The transmission of power on the sprocket must balance the reduced number of teeth with an important polygonal effect when using teeth smaller than 14T and the smoothness of the chain. The work of the development team in the laboratory has made it possible to optimize the shape of the tooth to reduce friction and choose stainless steel as the optimal solution between stiffness and reduction of friction. COGNEX makes it possible to reduce the power loss of the drivetrain system by 3% with the same chain and ratio.
